At least 12 people were injured in a knife attack at Hamburg Central Station on Friday evening, authorities confirmed. The assault occurred on platforms 13 and 14, with police later arresting a woman in connection to the incident, according to BILD.
“There is currently a major police operation in #Hamburg on #Hauptbahnhof!” police wrote on X.
Of the victims, three are in critical condition, three seriously injured, and six suffered minor wounds. Some were treated on board trains.
The motive remains unclear.
This follows a fatal knife attack in the Netherlands on Wednesday, which left two dead and injured two officers.
