Impeccable sources in the presidency confirmed yesterday that the former spokesman of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF) tendered his resignation about two weeks ago.
Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, political adviser to President Bola Tinubu, has resigned, citing personal reasons. Impeccable sources confirmed his departure two weeks ago, though the presidency’s acceptance remains unclear.
Appointed in September 2023, Baba-Ahmed represented the government at key events but faced criticism, including from Defence Minister Bello Matawalle, who clashed with him over the Northern Elders Forum.
