The Duchess of Sussex was today accused of ruthlessly using Archie and Lilibet as ‘clickbait’ in an act of ‘desperation’ to promote her new online shop, which has already been nicknamed ‘Meghan’s Mall’.

The former actress, 43, has shared a rare picture of her with her two young children – with their faces turned away or obscured – on her As Ever Instagram page.

But critics have called the move ‘ruthless’ with one declaring that the Sussexes, who were famously lampooned by South Park, ‘are obsessive about privacy except when it suits them’.

Last night Meghan also launched a new Instagram ‘ShopMy’ store flogging clothing and accessories ‘handpicked’ by herself and worn on her Netflix series. She earns commission on each item sold, likely to be between 10 to 30 per cent.

According to ShopMy’s founder and president Tiffany Lopinsky, her ‘creators’, as she calls people like the Duchess, can make over a million dollars per year and some influencers use it as their main source of income.
