Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses have claimed their first Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title, defeating debutants Malawi 3-0 in the final. Dominating the first half, Cameroon scored all three goals to secure the historic victory.
This win ends Cameroon’s long quest for the WAFCON trophy after three previous final defeats. The victory also makes Cameroon the third African nation to win both men’s and women’s AFCON titles.
