Over 200 University of Calabar students are suing the institution for N5 billion after being removed from the Law faculty and transferred back to their original departments. The students claim valid contracts were formed upon admission and payment of fees. They argue the current Vice-Chancellor cannot invalidate prior approvals. The university states only a portion of second-year students were officially admitted to Law, and others risk ineligibility for the Nigerian Law School.
