Disagreements within the House of Representatives ad hoc committee are stalling the report on the purported Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council. The committee, chaired by Yusuf Gagdi, has questioned top officials over the agency’s recognition.
Adeniyi Adeyemi, who presented himself as the DG, claimed to have paid N400m for appointment, a claim the Presidency and Chief of Staff denied, calling the agency fictitious. The ICPC cleared the Presidency and recommended Adeyemi’s prosecution.
