A decade at the top has taken its toll, says Oloyede. Speaking during the handover to new Registrar Prof. Aina, per PUNCH, the former University of Ilorin Vice-Chancellor said he needs to “go back and beg God” after years of tough decisions in office.
Oloyede stood firmly by JAMB’s controversial three-year ban on 2023 UTME candidate Mmesoma Ejikeme, insisting there were “no regrets” since the sanction protected exam integrity. He described her as “our daughter,” saying the board acted as a correcting parent, not out of malice.
Incoming Registrar Aina pledged to preserve JAMB’s integrity, warning fraudsters that the board’s tech-driven systems would keep frustrating malpractice.
