Tonye Cole: Fubara-Wike feud set Rivers back 20 years

Former APC governorship candidate Tonye Cole says the political feud between Governor Sim Fubara and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has set Rivers State back 20 years, and is calling for cross-party unity to move forward.

Wike, Fubara Crisis Set Rivers Back 20 Years — Tonye Cole

Rivers State needs healing, says Tonye Cole. Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, per Daily Post Nigeria, Cole said the Fubara-Wike crisis has left the state “further back 20 years than we have ever been” in its history.

He said he’s reaching out across party lines — PDP, APC, ADC, NDC — to bring aggrieved parties together and forge a “master plan” for a new Rivers State. Cole stressed that division and infighting have failed the state, urging leaders to unite and bring the best from all camps rather than risk another “bitter division” that would stall progress.
