A Federal High Court in Abuja has turned down Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore leader Bello Bodejo’s fresh bid to vary his bail conditions, according to The Nation.
Justice Inyang Ekwo said the case’s timeline meant proceedings couldn’t conclude before the court’s vacation, advising Bodejo to approach a vacation judge instead. Bodejo, who is facing EFCC money laundering charges over $2.63 million, was granted bail on July 20 at ₦2 billion with two sureties.
The judge adjourned the substantive trial till October 5. Bodejo faces six counts of accepting large cash payments from a former Bauchi State accountant-general without routing them through a financial institution.
