Retail cooking gas prices have started easing across Nigeria, offering some relief to households after weeks of price hikes, Channels Television reports.
According to checks conducted by the station’s correspondent, prices remain uneven across locations due to transportation costs, supply depot charges and retailers’ profit margins.
In Lagos, cooking gas is currently selling within a range of ₦1,100 to ₦1,350 per kilogram, depending on the outlet and location.
The latest development comes after recent concerns over rising LPG costs, which industry stakeholders linked to supply challenges and market pressures.
Channels Television reports that while prices are beginning to moderate, variations persist across the country because of logistics expenses and differences in retail pricing structures.
