The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ebonyi State has refuted claims that the state belongs to a single political party, urging residents to defend democratic pluralism and their right to choose leaders in 2027. State PDP Chairman Chukwuma Igwe criticized Governor Francis Nwifuru’s remarks, which threatened to remove local government chairmen if the APC lost the 2027 elections in their areas. Igwe called Nwifuru’s statement an incitement to hostility and a threat to democracy.
