The phrase “Trump is dead” has gone viral on X, triggering speculation and confusion across the platform.
US President Donald Trump is trending on X after the phrase “Trump is dead” went viral, sparking widespread speculation among users.
Checks revealed numerous posts repeating the phrase. One viral post read: “If Trump is dead I will give 100 dollars to anyone who likes this tweet.”
The trend appears linked to recent remarks by Vice President JD Vance, who was asked if he could step in if a “terrible tragedy” occurred. Vance assured Trump was fit: “He’s the last person making phone calls at night… I feel very confident the president is in good shape.”
Speculation also grew after Simpsons creator Matt Groening joked the show could end when “you-know-who dies.”
Trump’s health has drawn attention following reports of chronic venous insufficiency and previous assassination attempts.
This is not the first time such rumours have circulated; in 2023, a hacked account falsely claimed Trump had died.
