Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan secured a significant payday, earning $75,000 for her second-place finish in the 100m hurdles at the inaugural World Athletics Ultimate Championship in Budapest. She clocked 12.34 seconds, trailing American Masai Russell who won in 12.22 seconds.

Russell’s win capped a stellar season, including breaking Amusan’s world record earlier in Zurich. The championship boasts a substantial $10 million prize purse.
