Anthony Ikenwe, 29, Kevin Nwamma, 25, and Hamza Bashir, 23, were sentenced at Southwark Crown Court after posing as police officers to trick victims into surrendering crypto credentials, according to Daily Post Nigeria.

Investigators said the trio sourced victims’ data from the dark web and built fake platforms to convince them the scheme was legitimate. Detectives recovered footage of one suspect receiving real-time instructions via Snapchat during a call with a victim.

Proceeds reportedly funded luxury holidays, designer watches and shopping sprees at Harrods. Ikenwe and Nwamma each got six years; Bashir received three years and nine months.
