Tinubu govt worst I’ve seen in my life – Atiku

Presidential aspirant Atiku Abubakar has labeled President Bola Tinubu’s government the “worst” administration he has ever seen, vowing to prioritize national security and law and order within his first 30 days if elected.

In a scathing assessment of the current political landscape, African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential aspirant Atiku Abubakar expressed profound disappointment with President Bola Tinubu’s administration during an interview with Arise TV on Wednesday. Atiku characterized the present government as the most ineffective he has witnessed, citing widespread failures in economic management and general governance. While he remained tight-lipped regarding his specific political maneuvers to unseat an incumbent, he dismissed suggestions that a coalition candidate would face insurmountable hurdles in the 2027 polls.

The aspirant emphasized that his immediate priority upon assuming office would be the restoration of national stability. Atiku argued that the current state of the country has rendered progress in other sectors nearly impossible, stating that without a foundation of safety, no meaningful development can occur. He noted that his first 30 days would be dedicated to a total overhaul of the security apparatus to ensure that law and order are maintained, which he considers a prerequisite for addressing unemployment, infrastructure decay, and healthcare challenges.

During the interview, Atiku did not hold back in his personal critique of the President’s leadership style and policy outcomes. Expressing his frustration over the trajectory of the nation, he said: “Everything is wrong with President Tinubu. I mean, honestly, perhaps in my life this is the worst administration I have seen.” He further elaborated on the necessity of a stable environment for governance, stating: “I believe security, law and order are basic. Whatever you want to achieve, if you don’t have security, you don’t have law and order, I don’t think you can implement whatever policy, whether it is job creation, whether it is infrastructure development, whether it is health care, whatever, you must have a secure and stable country.”
