Introduction

The 5th Founder’s Day Celebration of RevTutors Preparatory Academy was a memorable and colourful event that brought together pupils, parents, invited guests, staff members and well-wishers in celebration of the school’s steady growth, achievements and commitment to quality education. The celebration featured the 2nd Interhouse Sports Competition and the 3rd Graduation Ceremony, both of which were successfully organised amidst excitement, unity and thanksgiving.

The 2nd Interhouse Sports Competition

The Interhouse Sports Competition commenced with great enthusiasm and recorded an impressive turnout of parents, invited guests and supporters of the various houses. The event was further enriched by the participation of three guest schools:

  • Wisdom Gate Nursery and Primary School, Akure
  • Mayowa Nursery and Primary School, Akure
  • Springfield Citadel of Learning, Akure

One of the highlights of the competition was the 100-metre Guest Schools’ Race, where representatives of the three invited schools competed alongside RevTutors Preparatory Academy. At the end of the keenly contested race, Springfield Citadel of Learning, Akure emerged in the first position, while RevTutors Preparatory Academy secured the second position. In appreciation of their sportsmanship and participation, representatives of all the guest schools were presented with golden medals.

The sporting events created an atmosphere of excitement, unity and healthy competition. Pupils enthusiastically participated in various activities, including:

  • March Past
  • Tug of War
  • Filling the Basket Race
  • Filling the Bottle Race
  • Sack Race
  • 50-Metre Dash
  • 100-Metre Dash
  • Other novelty events

Parents and spectators cheered continuously as pupils displayed determination, discipline and teamwork throughout the competitions.

At the conclusion of all events, results were carefully collated by the officials. The respected judge of the competition, Mrs. Kolawole Oluwafunmilayo, Sports Mistress of Irowo Mega School, announced the overall standings as follows:

Overall House Positions

1st Position: Green House (Oloribayo’s House) – 🏆 Champions

2nd Position: Blue House (Akinyelure’s House)

3rd Position: Yellow House (Asako’s House)

4th Position: Purple House (Fatukasi’s House)

The announcement of the results was greeted with loud cheers and jubilations from members of the winning Green House, while members of the other houses expressed their determination to perform even better in subsequent competitions.

Beyond winning and losing, the event successfully instilled in the pupils the values of sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, resilience and healthy competition. The House Mistresses also demonstrated commendable commitment and leadership throughout the preparations and competitions.

The 3rd Graduation Ceremony

The celebration continued with the 3rd Graduation Ceremony, which was chaired by the Chairperson of the School-Based Management Committee (SBMC), Mrs. Folorunso Aderonke.

The ceremony commenced with an inspiring address by the Proprietor, Mr. Ayodeji Ajibola Ibileye, who took the audience on a journey through the history of the institution. He recalled how RevTutors Preparatory Academy began during the 2021/2022 academic session with only his two sons and a friend’s daughter as pioneer pupils. He expressed profound gratitude to God for the remarkable growth of the school and sincerely appreciated all parents for the confidence and trust they have continued to place in the institution by entrusting the education and welfare of their children to the school.

He concluded his remarks by praying that every child would continue to excel and never miss the path of greatness in Jesus’ Name.

Inauguration of the 2026/2027 School Prefects

One of the major highlights of the ceremony was the inauguration and swearing-in of the newly elected prefects for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.

The new prefects are:

  • Master Oluwafifehanmi Korede Ibileye – Head Boy
  • Emeto Ayobamidele – Time Keeper
  • Akinlalu Nifemi – Punctuality Prefect
  • Adeleye Fortune – Sanitation Prefect
  • Obakewo Divine – Health Prefect
  • Ajayi Dorcas – Social Prefect
  • Abuchi Oluchi – Chapel Prefect
  • Odunayo Tobiloba – Games Prefect

The inauguration symbolised a new chapter of leadership and responsibility within the school community.

The graduating pupils were formally presented amidst applause from parents, staff and guests.

The outgoing Head Girl, Miss Falodi Darasimi, delivered a heartfelt Vote of Thanks.
