Police Raid Osun SSG’s House, Arrest Six Over PVCs
Police operatives raided the Oroki Estate residence of Osun State Secretary to the State Government, Teslim Igbalaye, on Wednesday morning, arresting six suspects found with Permanent Voter Cards. The Nation reports that the raid has stoked political tension in the state, barely weeks ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election, though it remains unclear whether the PVCs were genuine or linked to any electoral offence.
Police spokesperson DSP Abiodun Ojelabi confirmed the raid, stating that four of the six arrested had since been screened and cleared of involvement, and would be released, while investigations into the remaining suspects continue.
