Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang will on Friday, January 2, 2026, formally register as a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) after resigning from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). In a December 29, 2025 letter to the PDP Ward Chairman of Ampang West, Mutfwang resigned “with immediate effect”, citing the need for “purposeful leadership and clarity of direction”.
The governor said joining APC is a strategic move to align Plateau with Federal Government policies and enhance growth. His APC card presentation will hold at Victoria Gowon Hall, Government House, Rayfield, by 11:00 a.m., followed by a visit to the APC State Secretariat at Kalwa House, Jos, to meet party leaders and supporters.
