Peter Obi says Nigerians who ran thriving businesses before Tinubu took office have now been reduced to selling kuli-kuli, blaming worsening poverty and hunger on the administration.
Obi: Business Owners Now Sell Kuli-Kuli Under Tinubu
Peter Obi isn’t holding back. In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, the NDC presidential candidate said Nigerians who owned thriving businesses before Tinubu’s 2023 inauguration have since collapsed into hardship, some now selling kuli-kuli to survive. He dismissed claims his 2023 movement had lost steam, insisting support has grown as more citizens grow disillusioned, according to Tribune online.
Obi called the government’s “Renewed Hope” agenda pure “hopelessness,” citing rising poverty and a worsened global hunger ranking. He also defended his alliance with Rabiu Kwankwaso, describing him as a politician genuinely committed to lifting people out of poverty through education.
