Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has warned the Federal Government against any threat to Peter Obi’s safety, while also demanding the release of detained ex-Kaduna governor Nasir El-Rufai.
Atiku Warns FG Over Peter Obi’s Safety
Atiku is sounding the alarm — and this time, it’s about Peter Obi’s safety.
In a statement issued Thursday, the ADC presidential candidate declared that nothing must happen to Obi, warning that “an injury to one is an injury to all” and that intimidating one opposition voice diminishes them all. The warning follows Obi’s recent claims of safety concerns and alleged government targeting of his business interests, according to a report by P.M. News.
Atiku also demanded the immediate release of former Kaduna governor Nasir El-Rufai, insisting every Nigerian deserves due process regardless of political affiliation. He argued the real enemies facing Nigeria are poverty, hunger, insecurity, corruption and kidnapping — not the opposition.
