Ndume to Tinubu: Talk to Nigerians yourself, not through aides

Former Senate Leader Ali Ndume has urged President Tinubu to communicate directly with Nigerians on economic and security issues rather than through aides.

Ndume Tells Tinubu: Speak Directly to Nigerians

Ali Ndume has a message for President Tinubu: cut out the middlemen. After a closed-door meeting with the President, the former Senate Chief Whip said he advised Tinubu to address Nigerians personally on pressing issues like the economy and insecurity, rather than letting aides speak for him — advice Tinubu reportedly promised to consider, according to Vanguard.

Ndume also praised the military’s renewed offensive against bandits in the North-West and North-East, noting several commanders had surrendered and leaders been taken out. He said his own meeting with the President was delayed by a security session with service chiefs, calling it a sign Tinubu was “sitting up” on insecurity.
