The newly installed traditional ruler of Mbaocha community, Eze Redford Ikechi Ohaeri, has pledged to combat drug abuse among youths to curb rising insecurity within the area. His ascension to the throne follows a six-year kingship dispute.
Eze Ohaeri emphasized the critical need for peace, unity, and love as prerequisites for community progress. He vowed to unite various factions within the community, focusing all efforts towards achieving peace and security in collaboration with the government.
The monarch also highlighted his concern over the deep-rooted issue of drug abuse affecting the community’s youth, noting their presence in abandoned buildings for substance use. He is determined to eradicate this menace, utilizing both persuasive and, if necessary, forceful measures.
