Natasha calls for reciprocal visa policy over Ayra Starr’s alleged South Africa entry denial

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has urged the Federal Government to adopt visa reciprocity toward South Africa following reports that Ayra Starr and her team were denied entry.

Kogi Central Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has called on the Federal Government to enforce visa reciprocity after reports that singer Ayra Starr and her team were allegedly denied entry into South Africa.

According to The Sun, the senator urged the Nigeria Immigration Service to review visa applications from South African artistes and their entourages if the reports are confirmed, insisting Nigeria should not remain passive when its citizens face alleged unfair treatment abroad.

Akpoti-Uduaghan clarified her call was not directed at South African singer Tyla or any individual artiste, but a push for mutual respect in diplomatic relations. She urged the Federal Government to ensure its foreign policy protects the dignity of Nigerian citizens abroad.
