The Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC) will continue to underwrite agricultural insurance schemes, confirmed the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM). NAICOM’s Commissioner, Olusegun Omosehin, clarified that only NAIC’s general insurance license was withdrawn, not its agricultural mandate. The federal government will continue to support NAIC’s initiatives in agricultural insurance.
