A video of the killing, reportedly released by the kidnappers on Sunday, circulated widely on Telegram. The footage showed Oyedokun tied up and forced to speak before being killed.
The incident has thrown the community into mourning, with residents, families of victims, and stakeholders calling on security agencies and the Oyo State Government to intensify efforts to rescue remaining captives still held in the kidnappers’ custody.
