APC’s Prof. Dayo Faduyile voted in Okitipupa and expressed confidence of victory in the Ondo South Senatorial bye-election, citing smooth INEC conduct and tight security.
APC’s Prof. Dayo Faduyile is feeling good about his chances in the Ondo South Senatorial bye-election, The Nation reports. After casting his vote at Ward 6, Unit 5 in Ode Ikoya, Okitipupa, the candidate said early signals from polling units were already pointing his way.
According to The Nation, Faduyile gave INEC a thumbs-up for punctuality and smooth operations, and praised voters for showing up in strong numbers. Security forces — police and NSCDC — also got a nod for keeping things calm, with zero reports of violence or breaches anywhere in the district.
“The atmosphere has been peaceful,” he said, promising inclusive representation if he wins. He thanked residents for turning out and said he expects the majority of votes to land in his favour, The Nation added.
