Ibom Air’s newest Airbus A220-300, registered 5N-CDC, has arrived, marking the second delivery from a 10-aircraft order placed in 2021 by the administration of former Governor Udom Emmanuel. The aircraft was received in Mirabel, Canada, with a handover ceremony at the Airbus assembly facility.
The Akwa Ibom State Government is set to officially welcome the aircraft at Victor Attah International Airport as part of the state’s 39th anniversary celebrations. This delivery underscores the legacy of Emmanuel’s administration and its commitment to strengthening the state’s aviation sector, with Ibom Air continuing its expansion into domestic and regional routes.
