I withdrew, never participated in APC primary, says Cubana Chief Priest

Cubana Chief Priest says he withdrew from the APC primary and never participated, citing respect for party zoning arrangements.

Celebrity businessman Pascal Okechukwu has denied participating in the All Progressives Congress primary for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency seat in Imo State, according to Punch Newspapers.
Okechukwu said he withdrew from the race after Governor Hope Uzodimma explained the party’s zoning arrangement.

“He made the argument that it was not the turn of my Local Government Area to occupy the seat,” he said.
He insisted, “In respect for the party and its leadership, I chose not to proceed to the field… I did not participate.”
The statement contradicts an earlier video where he lamented low votes.

Okechukwu dismissed online reactions as “laughable,” adding, “I am not indebted to anybody over my aspiration.”
He reaffirmed loyalty to the APC and pledged support for its 2027 ambitions.
