HEDA, NIHSA Launch Flood Sensitisation Programme
The Human and Environmental Development Agenda (HEDA Resource Centre), alongside the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency (NIHSA), has initiated a nationwide training and sensitisation program focused on the 2026 Annual Flood Outlook (AFO).
Executive Secretary of HEDA, Sulaimon Arigbabu, stated the initiative aims to enhance public awareness of flood risks, boost preparedness, and promote timely actions in vulnerable Nigerian communities. The program targets diverse participants including farmers, community leaders, media, and government officials.
