The Federal Government has inaugurated a new 10-man Board of Directors for the Bank of Agriculture, tasking members with strengthening corporate governance and driving agricultural development.

According to a statement by the bank’s communications personnel, Abimbola Otepola-Ishaku, cited by The PUNCH, the board was inaugurated by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari, in Abuja. Kyari urged members to support projects that create jobs and reduce poverty.
Board Chairman Muhammad Babangida pledged to reposition the bank as a leading development finance institution, while Managing Director Ayodeji Sotinrin said the bank would expand access to affordable agricultural credit and accelerate digital transformation. Other board members include Fatima Garba, Hakeem Salami, Ka’amuna Khadi, Rabiu Funtua, Kpochi Iorgyer, Aminu Mohammed, Oladejo Odunuga and Charles Amuchienwa.
