Gut-wrenching distress videos of kidnapped schoolchildren and staff from Oyo State went viral Sunday — and Nigeria is furious.
Terrorists on motorbikes stormed Baptist Nursery and Primary School, Community Grammar School, and L.A. Primary School in Oriire Local Government Area around 9:30 am on Friday, May 15, abducting pupils, students, and staff. An assistant headmaster was killed during the attack. Socialbu
In one video, abducted principal Mrs Alamu appealed directly to governments and authorities: “I am making this video to ask for help from everyone, starting from the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Oyo State Government, Seyi Makinde, the Christian Association of Nigeria, and all well-meaning Nigerians, that they should come to our help and settle this thing peacefully so that our lives will not be lost.” Socialbu
A second captive, teacher Temitope Dahunsi, added: “The children are here crying so that we will not waste our lives. Please help us, don’t neglect us.”

Oyo’s Deputy Governor Bayo Lawal visited affected communities, confirming security forces had killed about three attackers, and warned: “Oyo State is not giving an inch for banditry and criminality.”
