The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has issued a stern warning, threatening to resume its suspended nationwide strike. This action is a direct response to the federal and state governments’ failure to address critical outstanding issues.
Key grievances include the incomplete implementation of a December 2025 agreement, the pending payment of 3.5 months of withheld salaries, and the non-remittance of substantial deductions from lecturers’ pay. ASUU stated it may call off its strike without further notice if these demands are not met swiftly.
