The Customs Police Unit clinched the Nigeria Customs Service Zone ‘A’ Inter-Command Games football championship, beating Muritala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) Command 1-0. The week-long tournament, themed “Fit to Serve, United to Lead,” featured 16 teams competing in various sports to foster fitness and camaraderie.
Comptroller-General Bashir Adewale Adeniyi lauded the event, emphasizing interagency collaboration and calling for the expansion of customs sports nationwide. He highlighted the need for upgraded sports infrastructure, noting future plans for improved facilities at a new training college.
