#EkitiDecides2026: APC’s Oyebanji Wins Governorship Election
INEC has declared Biodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) the winner of the Ekiti governorship election with 319,224 votes. He secured victory across all 16 local government areas. The announcement was made early Sunday by Chief Returning Officer, Professor Adenike Oladiji. Oyebanji defeated the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) Oluwole Oluyede, who garnered 40,545 votes, and the African Democratic Congress’s (ADC) Dare Bejide, who received 12,872 votes. This marks Oyebanji’s re-election for a second term.
