Algeria’s richest man Issad Rebrab’s Cevital launches $600 million sugar beet project

Algeria’s Cevital, led by Issad Rebrab, is investing $600 million to restart large-scale sugar beet production in the country. This project aims to reduce reliance on imported sugar. Located in Ghardaïa, it will combine industrial farming with a new sugar processing complex, creating 5,000 jobs and boosting the local economy.
