JAMB has dismissed a fake notice claiming the 2026 UTME was postponed and warned candidates to ignore fraudulent messages while confirming the exam will hold as scheduled.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has dismissed a circulating press release claiming the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) had been postponed, describing it as malicious and fake. In a statement on Saturday, the board urged candidates to ignore the notice, stressing that preparations for the examination remain on course.
“Our attention has been drawn to the malicious press release stating that the 2026 UTME has been postponed… Kindly disregard it. All activities on the 2026 UTME continue as scheduled,” the board said. JAMB added that the examination will hold from April 16 to April 25, 2026, and warned candidates against fraudulent groups claiming they can inflate scores.
