A Lagos mother has urged education authorities to review what she calls an overwhelming daily homework burden on schoolchildren.
A Lagos mother, Chidi Ebere, has appealed to the state Ministry of Education over what she described as excessive homework given to her children. In a TikTok video, she said, โThe assignment is becoming too much. We don tire, oh,โ adding that her children receive โsix assignments every single day.โ
She lamented the toll on pupils, saying, โTheyโre acting like zombiesโฆ What is going to happen?โ The mother added, โI wan nearly craze because I just finished doing projects for my five-year-old,โ urging authorities to intervene.
