Former INEC chair Attahiru Jega and Budget Minister Abubakar Bagudu urged Nigerian youths to reduce anger and engage constructively amid the current economic crisis. Speaking at the 10th anniversary of ‘I Am Change’ in Abuja, they emphasized the critical role of youth empowerment for national development.
Bagudu described Nigeria’s youth demographic as both an advantage and a challenge, requiring proper skills and tools for progress. Jega lamented inadequate educational investment, lack of opportunities, and negative recruitment of youths into political processes, stressing the need for expanded opportunities.
