Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA) has urged the Federal Government to grant a 10-year tax relief to Special Economic Zones (SEZs) operators. This request is critical to maintain investor confidence and prevent disruptions ahead of Nigeria’s new tax act implementation in early 2026.
NEPZA Managing Director, Dr. Olufemi Ogunyemi, warned that failure to provide this transitional reprieve could harm Nigeria’s foreign direct investment prospects. The move aims to allow businesses to adjust without jeopardizing current investments.
