Four children were killed and one injured by an improvised explosive device in Banki town, Borno State. Police confirmed the incident occurred on Friday while the children were playing with the device, which they reportedly found nearby.
The victims were identified as Awana Mustapha, 15; Malum Modu, 14; Lawan Ibrahim, 12; and Modu Abacha, 12. An investigation is underway, and police have cautioned the public against handling any strange objects.
