Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun committed to increasing women officers’ representation in tactical, operational, and command roles. This pledge came during a Thursday event in Abuja celebrating 70 years of women policing in Nigeria.
Egbetokun affirmed the Nigeria Police Force values its women and will combat discrimination. He acknowledged their central role in shaping the force’s future, recognizing their resilience and expanded duties since 1955.
