Foundation empowers Kaduna women in farming, vocational skills

The Jennifer Etuh Foundation empowered 1,000 women across Kaduna State’s Zaria and Makarfi Local Government Areas in 2025. This Kaduna Women Economic Empowerment Project, backed by the Bayer Foundation, equipped women with sack farming and vocational skills to strengthen household livelihoods and support micro-enterprises. Expansion into more LGAs is planned for 2026.

Foundation Program Manager Joseph Otu detailed a dual-beneficiary model, pairing sack farming with vocational training. Project Supervisor Etimbuk Adebayo Chike emphasized the unique health-driven approach, highlighting visible impact and plans for a free medical outreach serving over 3,000 residents. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the life-changing empowerment.
