National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu stated Nigeria is enduring “painful times” but vowed to defeat terrorism. Speaking at a dialogue in Abuja, he highlighted Nigeria as the sole functioning democracy in the Sahel, affirming, “We will defeat terror. We will restore order.”
Ribadu emphasized that this phase “will pass,” urging communities and leaders to help prevent violence. He stressed empowering local dispute resolution to reduce military reliance, envisioning a stable and united Nigeria built on shared responsibility.
