Full List: Army Chief reshuffles Senior Commanders, makes new appointments

COAS Lt. Gen. Waidi Shaibu redeploys senior Army officers nationwide to strengthen command and operations.

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, has approved the posting and appointment of senior officers to key command, staff, and instructional positions across formations, units, and training institutions of the Nigerian Army.

According to a statement by the Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Lt. Col. Appolonia Anele, the reshuffle aims to reinvigorate leadership, strengthen command structures, and reposition the Army for greater operational effectiveness.

Among those affected are Major Generals Bamidele Alabi, Jamal Abdulsalam, Peter Mala, Samson Jiya, Mayirenso Saraso, Isa Abdullahi, Musa Etsu-Ndagi, Abubakar Haruna, Philip Ilodibia, Godwin Mutkut, Umar Abubakar, John Adeyemo, Mohammed Abdullahi, Taofik Sidick, Abdullahi Ibrahim, Adeyinka Adereti, and Nansak Shagaya. Others include Major Generals Oluyemi Olatoye, Emmanuel Mustapha, Adamu Hassan, Saidu Audu, Warrah Idris, and Oluremi Fadairo, as well as Brigadier Generals Yusha’u Ahmed, John Bulus, and Samaila Uba.

Lt. Gen. Shaibu charged the newly appointed officers to “bring to bear their wealth of operational experience, administrative acumen, and strategic foresight in driving a disciplined and combat-ready Army.” He urged them to strengthen interagency collaboration and uphold the Army’s core values of loyalty, service, and excellence.
