Governor Sanwo-Olu unblocked lawyer Festus Ogun on X after meeting to resolve a rights dispute.
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has unblocked human rights lawyer Festus Ogun on X (formerly Twitter) following a private meeting at Lagos House, Marina.
Ogun, who had previously dragged the governor before a Federal High Court in Lagos for allegedly violating his rights, disclosed the development on Instagram on Saturday. He said the governor personally invited him to address his concerns.
“Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has unblocked me on X (Twitter). I met briefly with him yesterday at Lagos House Marina, on his invitation, to amicably resolve my complaint of human rights violations. We will continue to hold authorities accountable, regardless. Aluta continua!” Ogun wrote.
The lawyer had sued Sanwo-Olu in case FHC/L/CS/1739/25, claiming the governor blocked him in 2021 for his “constructive criticisms” and #EndSARS accountability demands. He argued the action violated his right to access public information, urging the court to compel a public apology and declare such acts unconstitutional.
