‘Tottenham crushes 10-man West Ham 3-0’ – EPL

Tottenham beat West Ham 3-0 to end their London Stadium drought and extend their strong league start.

Tottenham Hotspur secured their first win at the London Stadium since 2019 with a resounding 3-0 victory over West Ham United in Saturday’s London derby.

The Hammers started well, with Mohammed Kudus and Lucas Paquetá threatening early, while Cristian Romero’s header was disallowed for a foul by Micky van de Ven. Spurs grew into the game and, after a goalless first half, broke through just two minutes after the restart when Pape Matar Sarr nodded in from Xavi Simons’ assist.

West Ham’s hopes of a comeback suffered a major blow when Tomáš Souček was sent off for a reckless tackle on João Palhinha. From the ensuing free-kick, Lucas Bergvall’s header doubled the visitors’ lead before Van de Ven sealed the win with a composed finish in the 64th minute.

The result marked Tottenham’s third win in four league games this season, while West Ham slumped to a fourth defeat in five matches.
