The Gunners face the Spanish side on Wednesday. Thomas Partey could make his debut for his new club at the Emirates Stadium against Arsenal.
Partey, 32, has undergone a medical and is expected to sign a two-year deal with the Spanish club through to 2027.
Partey was charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault on July 4. He denies the charges.
He had been the subject of an investigation that first started in February 2022 and had continued playing for the Premier League club prior to the expiration of his contract.
He is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court on Tuesday, August 5.
