A man was shot and killed Monday morning after ambushing Border Patrol agents outside a facility in McAllen, Texas. Armed with a rifle and tactical gear, he opened fire as agents arrived, prompting local and federal officers to return fire.
According to Fox News reporter Bill Melugin, “This was a purposeful ambush… No federal agents injured.” One McAllen police officer may have been wounded and is reportedly in stable condition.
