Igbo traditional rulers, including the Obi of Onitsha and the Traditional Ruler of Nnewi, are calling for an end to the ‘Osu caste’ practice. They met with the producers of the new Nollywood movie ‘Properties of the Gods,’ which addresses the issue.
The rulers described the practice as discriminatory and urged its abolition. The movie, set for a nationwide premiere on September 4, aims to spark conversation and promote unity among the Igbo people.
