The presidency has reiterated its criticism of Atiku Abubakar’s stance on restoring fuel subsidies. Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga stated that Atiku either misunderstands the policy or is playing politics with the Tinubu administration’s decision.
Onanuga highlighted that subsidy removal has boosted government finances and macroeconomic stability, questioning Atiku’s shifting positions on the issue, which he deems a “policy of trial and error.”.
